The laboratory is located at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics and belongs to the University of Maribor. It is one of the three laboratories of the Institute of Automation. In the laboratory we work research and pedagogy in the interdisciplinary field of signal processing and remote control. Both areas are intertwined, and the common ground is often signal processing. Broadly speaking, we deal with the theory of signals and systems and their use in various fields, in sensor-measuring-control technology, machine vision and remote sensing and remote control.
Laboratory staff researches projects and research assignments related to the following areas:
Remote sensing:
- SAR image processing
- Soil moisture assessment with radar
- Soil analysis with georadar
- Search for landmines with UAV
- Spectroscopy with THz radar
Remote control systems:
- Event controlled systems
- Network controlled systems
- Distributed controlled systems
- Nonlinear principles of controlling
- Adaptive control
Machine vision systems:
- Kontrola kakovosti
- Quality review of aluminum castings
- Detection of material with a hyperspectral camera
- Pregled površine izdelkov
