Teaching

What the students learn

After acquiring in-depth knowledge of natural sciences and basic electrical engineering subjects, he delves into basic professional subjects in the fields of systems theory, regulation, modeling, artificial intelligence, identification, computer science, informatics, etc.

He can gain narrower expertise in two basic areas:

- In the field of robotics (production automation), and

- in the field of process automation and cybernetization (process automation).

Within these two basic areas, we also have appropriate laboratories that allow each student to work within his or her capabilities and desires.

While studying professional subjects, the student acquires knowledge in measuring and control technology, robotics and especially in the field of computer control of all types of processes.

Graduate profile

During the study at the first level, the student will develop into a graduate who will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of computer control of industrial processes. He will be able to plan management technology and computerize industrial processes, buildings and infrastructure facilities. The level of knowledge will meet the knowledge requirements for the modernization of existing facilities and the construction of new automated plants. He will acquire the following knowledge: sensors and measurements of non-electrical quantities, actuators, controllers, programmable logic controllers, control and process computers, communications, industrial software, Internet connections, basic and application programming languages, units for displaying process quantities, documentation, modeling and process identification, design of simpler management systems. He will be able to carry out the project according to the principle and laws of the life cycle.

During his studies at the second level, he will build on the knowledge acquired at the previous level. He will be trained in the planning and implementation of process informatization projects, which include a digital factory, digital buildings, infrastructure and energy systems, where there is a full integration of processes and IT solutions. He will be qualified to work independently on development and research projects and renovation projects of process informatics facilities and systems, which include modern SCADA, MES, ERP information systems for control and management of integrated processes at a high level of management. Knowledge of non-technical aspects of systems management, economics. He will gain knowledge on management, monitoring, process control, fault detection, design of embedded systems in connection with modern communications based on Internet and wireless technologies. It will also be necessary to upgrade knowledge from identifications, modeling, simulations, regulations.

Where a graduate can find employment

In addition to their basic qualifications for engineering jobs in the broader field of electrical engineering, they will have a broad enough theoretical knowledge to be easily employed in various fields and industries that are in any way related to the electrical engineering profession. The acquired competencies will also enable them to take on managerial functions in small, medium and large companies. Of course, graduates of the Electrical Engineering program can also be employed in many other places: in research institutes, in primary, secondary and university education, public administration or as founders in their own companies.

The field of activity of the graduate in the field of automation and robotics is very wide and includes automation, robotization and cybernetics of all types of processes in various branches of industry, energy, transport, etc.
