The Institute of Automation has three laboratories. In each of them you can do a project, a bachelor's or a master's thesis – alongside researchers who work with industry.

Laboratory for Electro-Optics and Sensor Systems
Photonics, optical fibres and optical sensors. A clean room for microfabrication, a femtosecond laser and a fibre drawing tower. More than 30 years of experience.

Laboratory for Process Automation
Computer process control: PLC, SCADA and MES systems, fuzzy control, fault detection and smart buildings. Supervision of more than 100 bachelor's theses.

Laboratory for Signal Processing and Remote Control
Radar signals, machine vision and remote sensing. Student projects range from drone detection to controlling a two-axis robot.
