Supervisory fuzzy controller for coordinated distribution of process steam
A supervisory fuzzy controller for integrated management of process steam distribution and stable electricity generation with a steam turbine. It was designed in the laboratory and then transferred to an industrial controller in production.
About the project
Within an industrial project, a supervisory fuzzy controller was developed for integrated management of process steam distribution and stable electricity generation with a steam turbine. The supervisory controller was designed in the laboratory and then transferred to an industrial controller in production.
Operating and safety modes for optimal distribution are programmed with fuzzy logic that captures the reasoning and actions of operators. In extreme situations the controller coordinates steam distribution according to priorities, consumer safety and efficiency.
The goal was more stable pressures and flows in the individual distribution branches and in the steam turbine (back pressures), which ensures more stable electricity generation and higher efficiency (about 6 %).
